While AC strives to take reasonable measures to protect your information, this Policy is not a contract and does not create any legal rights or obligations. Rather, the following are guidelines for protecting your information. By using any of the websites that fall within our partners’ networks, you consent to the handling of your information as described in their respective Policies.
Scope of this policy
We, Advanced Contextual LLC ("AC"), help our clients ("Advertisers") reach potential new customers and existing customers on the Internet by determining which web pages ("Pages") offer content most relevant to the Advertisers' products and services. This Policy explains how we use certain anonymous information about you - a potential customer of our Advertisers - to decide whether to show you their ads when you visit a Page. When you visit any Page, you are a User of that Page.
This Policy does not cover the Policies of third party Service Providers we partner with, the publishers of the Pages ("Publishers"), or Advertisers; they each maintain their own Privacy Policies available on their respective websites.
Information we collect directly from you
Advanced Contextual does not collect any information directly from you.
Information we collect from third parties
Through relationships with third party Service Providers, we collect information about you regarding your use of sites within a given Service Provider’s network through cookies, web beacons, log files and other technologies. We only collect information about your use of sites occurring in US, Canada and LATAM geographic regions, as determined and segmented by our third party Service Provider partners.
Such information includes, but is not limited to, the following:

How we use your information
Targeted advertising
Our business is ad targeting based on the content of web pages (“contextual targeting”), and the interests of Users inferred by their viewing of Pages within a given context (“behavioral targeting”). We and our Service Providers use the behavioral data that we collect about you to serve advertisements to you on various channels, including, but not limited to, websites, mobile apps, social networks and television.

Children
We do not knowingly use information we collect about children known to be under the age of 13 for any purpose, marketing or promotional.
Disclosing your information
AC may disclose your personal information to the following entities:

Service providers. We may share your information with third parties that assist us and perform functions on our behalf. These entities may include technical support, information technology and data processing vendors, and data storage services, among others. We also may use third parties to assist us in determining and placing relevant advertising.

Aggregate information, such as demographic or market segmentation information, domain names, other site traffic information, etc., may at times be shared with partners or other third parties. An example of aggregate information is “X% of Users this month demonstrated interest in a given topic”.
Protecting information collected
We store and retain your information for a maximum of 30 days using generally-accepted security standards in a SOC-2 compliant data center facility. Our 30 day retention policy aligns to our data recency/freshness policy. When you opt-out using any of the methods described in this Policy, your data is rendered void for purposes of marketing or advertising.

Because we do not collect information about you directly, there is no direct opt-out associated with AC services. Instead, you may opt-out using one or more of the following methods.

Legal effect and changes to the policy
As previously stated, this Privacy Policy is not a contract nor does it otherwise create any legal rights or obligations. Rather, this Privacy Policy merely reflects guidelines setting forth AC's intended business practices. By using any site in a Service Provider’s network, you consent to the collection and use of such information by AC as herein described and consistent with applicable laws. Also, AC, in its discretion, may amend, interpret, modify or withdraw any portion of this Privacy Policy and related business practices at any time by posting updated text on this site, and your continued use of our partner’s sites constitutes your consent to those changes. A version of this Privacy Policy has been effective since October 15, 2002, and was last updated on Jan 5, 2021. This Privacy Policy supersedes previous privacy policies posted on advancedcontextual.com.
